About Mycelium

Mycelium is a free multiplayer strategy game that runs in your browser. You play a fungus spreading underground: grow into free soil, fight your neighbours for territory, and absorb their colonies.

Its central rule is the supply line. Every part of your network must stay connected to your origin, the glowing heart of your colony. When an enemy cuts through a thin strip of your territory, everything on the far side starts to wither and dies after a few seconds unless you reconnect it. Battles are won with chokepoints, encirclement and well-placed cuts, not only with numbers.

Play solo against bots on five kinds of maps, jump into a public match with Quick play, or create a private room and share its code with friends.

How to play

1. Pick where your colony starts during the first seconds of the game.
2. Left-click free soil to expand, or click an enemy to attack them. The number keys (1 to 0) set how much of your biomass you send.
3. Keep your land connected to your origin: cut-off land withers.
4. Grab violet nutrient soil for extra income and rotting logs for a burst of biomass.
5. Right-click for abilities: a spore burst to start a remote colony, or a mycotoxin cloud to cut an enemy supply line.
6. Take an enemy's origin to absorb them. The last fungus standing wins.
